Klaus Hoch brought the piece “Emergence” to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival in November 2019 and took home the Grand Jury Prize for Best Music Video. I intentionally first minute of this podcast, “Emergence” is an art film, a performance piece, a dance film, and a music video all at once. Guess what? Klaus is a terrific guy and I now you’ll enjoy this interview. In fact, he and I are neighbors and didn’t know it! Although there is an asterisk to that. We live very near each other as the crow flies, but a Los Angeles freeway lays between our homes which means if I tried to visit him on foot it would take close to an hour. Such is modern, urban living.
